Webinar: Future City

Enhance your city’s quality of life by better understanding how people move, live, reside and work in it.

The city of the future will be more livable. The city of the future will be more ecological. The city of the future will be more connected. The city of the future is already relying on city insights.

Movements, stays and daily activities of people within a city – where, when and why do they take place? These are questions that transportation and urban planning must address in order to further develop a city. The collection of comprehensive and reliable traffic data in combination with socio-economic aspects is of enormous importance for a realistic and meaningful planning.

The new mobility of the future in cities must address specifics in the urban structure and take into account the different lifestyles of residents and visitors. As so-called “floating phone data”, mobile devices that are carried along enable a cost-effective and comprehensive provision of information that has the potential to be used without time restrictions as a data basis for fully comprehensive traffic modeling and planning. This disruptive approach to mobility analysis, based on cell phone data, is based on the logging-in and logging-out behavior of mobile devices in the various cell phone cells and has been tested and approved by the Austrian data protection authority and certified annually by TÜV Saarland with regard to data protection.

With the interactive platform “City Insights”, Invenium Data Insights GmbH demonstrates how aggregated analysis results based on mobile data can be used to make informed decisions regarding urban and traffic planning.

In this webinar we will show you what City Insights has to offer. Which analyses are already possible for your city and which features we are currently working on.

The speaker in this webinar is Dipl.-Ing. Michael Cik, founder of Invenium Data Insights GmbH as well as traffic scientist and deputy head of the Institute for Road and Traffic Engineering at the Graz University of Technology. Mr. Cik has many years of experience in the field of mobility analysis, not only based on mobile signal data.

In addition, Oliver Konrad, urban planner in the department of urban development and zoning of the city of Graz, will tell us how City Insights can help you in your development and planning.

We are looking forward to your participation and an exciting exchange after the webinar.
