Data Analytics for Good
Event Insights offers events precise insights into what is happening on the spot.
This year, two fundraising events were analyzed by Invenium free of charge for the good cause.
Iron Road for Children
In July this year, the charity event “Iron Road for Children” was examined closely by Invenium.
A wide variety of music was listened to together, the most unusual vehicles were taken out for a drive and, above all, donations were collected to support sick and disabled children from all over Austria.
The event attracted thousands of visitors to Leoben.
Invenium’s mobility analysis can summarize the weekend in the following figures:
Our analysis shows that around 40,000 visitors and over 60,000 visits were recorded on all three festival days, including around 14,000 on Saturday evening, the peak day of the event. The event attracted young and all ages to Leoben and represented a large core group of 18- to 59-year-olds, as well as a balanced gender distribution of around 49% female and 51% male visitors.
Overall, most participants came from the Styrian districts of Leoben (~55%), Bruck-Mürzzuschlag (~15%), Murtal (~7.5%), Graz (~4%) and Graz-Umgebung (~3%). Despite the high proportion of visitors from Styria, there were representatives from all Austrian provinces at the Iron Road for Children.
Guests from abroad were also represented, with most international visitors coming from Germany, followed by Hungary and the Netherlands.
On average, people spent around 4 hours at the event before heading home.
Ö3 Weihnachtswunder

On December 24, this year’s “Hitradio Ö3 Weihnachtswunder” in the municipality of Bad Ischl ended with final donations of over €5.2 million. We provided a closer look at the event.
We analyzed the six-day event for a good cause in order to precisely define the target group in Bad Ischl Kurpark and thus support the event management in future planning.
In terms of figures, the annual event performed as follows:
